Some Solutions To Prolong The Life Of Your Cartridges

we put together a list of some solutions to prolong the life of your cartridges

1, Change printing settings: one of the easiest ways to extend the life of ink cartridges is to switch printing settings. Most printers provide multiple levels of print quality, ranging from normal to normal to fast normal. Changes to drafts or fast standards and from color to grayscale (also known as black and white) will create clear documents with less ink. Simply go to properties or preferences, depending on the printer in the print menu and toggle. ,

2, Use the print preview function: looking at your document in a print preview gives you the opportunity to check your work on the screen and make any changes before sending print. Storing documents in electronic form, such as PDF (portable document format), will be used for ink free transmission. ,

3, Do not take into account the ink shortage warning: do not replace ink cartridges at the first marker of low ink warning. This does not mean that you should not have new cartridges on hand. But when the output quality begins to decrease. ,

4, Keep the nozzle clean: if the document appears white, dashed or dotted, it may be the nozzle blockage. Immerse the nozzle in warm water until dry ink starts running again to remove clogging. Put the ink cartridge in the water for a few minutes, then remove it and dry it with a soft cloth or paper towel. Reinstall the cartridge and run the printhead cleaning procedure of the machine.

5, Ue different fonts: choose smaller fonts in the document and avoid using bold font. Fonts such as Arial, Helvetica and Times Roman use less ink.

6,Adjust your resolution and image size: resolution is DPI per inch in graphics or photos. The bigger the DPI, the larger the size of the file, and the more ink it needs to print. So how do you know what solutions to use? In most cases, 72 DPI is enough for inkjet printers or laser printers. According to the image and its intended use, you can reach as high as 200 or 300 dpi. If you print from a word processor, the choice of "draft" or "fast normal" in the "print property" or "preference" menu is approximately equal to 72 DPI. If you print directly from the photo editing program (such as Photoshop), you can change the resolution and image size from the image menu.

7,Protect your ink cartridge: if your printer can not be used for a period of time, please put the cartridge into the plastic sealed bag to prevent the ink from drying up.

8,Cut off the power: pull the plug when the printer is not in use. This will prevent ink from blocking the print head.

These are just some ways to extend the life of inkjet or cartridge cartridges. One, several or all recommended measures will make your cartridge life longer and save you money.
